As we begin our new year at the Warner Robins Area Chamber, I want
to first off thank you for the opportunity to serve as your 2008
Chairman. It is a humbling experience and a noble opportunity to
follow in the footsteps of my predecessors.
With your help, we will build our future – together. In November of
this year, Chamber leaders held a Goals Conference to map out our
Action Plan for 2008. On the following pages, you will see that each
of the Chamber’s operating divisions has carefully outlined a plan
of action that builds on the successes of the past and moves our
chamber and community into the future.
Our community is blessed with many great organizations working
toward the common good. We have very talented and hard working
people in the areas of tourism and economic development who are
actively marketing our community to the outside world. That is their
role. Our Chamber’s role in these efforts is to be in the business
of quality control so that the product is as attractive and
desirable as possible.
No organization can move forward without constantly working at being
inclusive. This will be one of the hallmarks of 2008. We will build
on the past by bringing folks together.
Doing this will require bringing together a diversity of business
perspectives. And while we all may not share the same perspective,
we all have the same goal – to make our community the best possible
place in which to live, work, visit, raise a family and conduct
business.
Building our future together – a future that includes all of us.
