Activities & Festivals
There's a wealth of art, culture, and fun to be found in the Robins Region. Houston County schools and the more than 140 clubs in the community are wonderful sources of activities and events such as theatrical performances, crochet and fencing clubs, and outdoor festivals.
Adults in our community can enjoy classes in ceramics, art, dance, and other creative forms of expression taught regularly at the Warner Robins Recreation Department. A schedule of classes is available at the recreation center at 800 Watson Blvd. or by calling the program office at 478-929-6946.
Festivals are another popular diversion for residents of the Robins Region. The Mossy Creek Barnyard Arts and Crafts Festival, held in April and October, is a fun event for the whole family. Selected artists and craftsmen from around the country exhibit their wares. Mountain music creates the perfect background to enjoy real country cooking.
Every year's grand finale is the fun-filled Christmas Parade sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce on the first Saturday in December. Coupled with traditional church events and local parties or neighborly get-togethers, the parade adds to the enjoyment of the holiday season. Friends and neighbors greet each other as they find that perfect spot from which to view the parade.
There is always something going on in Georgia's Robins Region!
